Corporate Tax (T2) Filing in Milton & the GTA

Syed CPA prepares and files T2 corporate income tax returns for incorporated businesses across Milton, Mississauga, Brampton, and the wider GTA. We work with CCPCs, small businesses, incorporated contractors, holding companies, not‑for‑profits, and inactive companies filing nil returns — remote clients included.

Every resident corporation has to file a T2 each year, even with no income or activity. The return is due six months after your fiscal year‑end. Any tax you owe is due sooner: two months after year‑end, or three months for a Canadian‑controlled private corporation (CCPC) claiming the small business deduction.

So a corporation with a December 31 year‑end files its T2 by June 30, but its balance is due February 28 — or March 31 as a CCPC claiming the SBD. The CRA charges interest and penalties on late payments, so we plan around the payment date, not just the filing date.

Every T2 must include GIFI‑coded financial statements. We turn your bookkeeping into the schedules the CRA requires and file to the correct tax centre for your corporation. Call (647) 977‑8977 to get a fixed‑fee quote before any work starts.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is my corporate tax return due in Canada?

A T2 corporate income tax return is due six months after your corporation's fiscal year-end. Any balance of tax owing is due earlier — generally two months after year-end, or three months for a Canadian-controlled private corporation claiming the small business deduction. Filing late triggers a penalty of 5% of the unpaid tax plus 1% per complete month outstanding, to a maximum of 12 months.

Do I still have to file a T2 if my corporation had no activity?

Yes. A resident corporation must file a T2 every year even if it was inactive and earned no income. This is commonly called a nil return. Skipping it still accrues late-filing penalties and can jeopardise your corporation's standing.
